Background to Concept

Part of the pain of the house buying process is the lack of transparency involved in the conveyancing process. RMA partnered with Intralinks to explore how a dedicated app could allow conveyancers, solicitors and other parties involved in house purchase and sale transactions to quickly and easily see what stage the process is at.

How was it innovative?

Under the current system, in order to complete a purchase/sale or assess progress and confirm next actions, those acting on behalf of the buyer/vendor have to manually gather information from multiple information systems.

We used personas based on the solicitors acting for both buyers and sellers to validate the our ideas of how we could join up the various processes and employ data visualisation techniques to draw attention to relevant information.

Outcome

Our dashboard concept for The Law Society aggregates all of the relevant information required for a transaction in one easy to navigate interface.

The prototype provided a rapid way to test and evaluate the value that could be delivered by providing solicitors with aggregated information through a shared casebook portal.
